Hello, I am Pauline Adès-Mével, a bilingual French-English journalist, journalism trainer, and media consultant. I founded Adès media in 2023 to share my expertise in journalism training, press freedom advocacy, and media literacy.

A specialist in all aspects of news production

With over 20 years in international newsrooms—including Reuters, Associated Press, Canal+ and i>Télé—I have reported, written, and edited for both TV and digital platforms. As spokesperson and editor-in-chief at Reporters Without Borders (RSF), I supported journalists facing physical, digital, and legal threats.
My career has spanned crisis reporting, advocacy for press freedom, and providing direct assistance to media professionals around the world.

Currently,

I share this expertise in both French and English with newsrooms and journalism schools. I train journalists and NGOs in physical safety, digital security, and public speaking. I also design media literacy programs to combat disinformation and foreign interference among young audiences. I teach them how to make their voices heard.

I regularly moderate debates and panel discussions on the future of journalism, democracy, and freedom of expression—an essential fight to defend our democratic standards in an increasingly volatile world.

Building on my experience at Reporters Without Borders EU and Balkan desk, I remain active in promoting European journalism standards and supporting press freedom in Balkan countries seeking EU membership.

In parallel, with Trait d’Union—an association I founded in 2020—I provide training on European institutions and their and their role in protecting media and journalists.
